According to WWF Aus, on average, Australians use 8 million tons of plastic each year. Only 12% of that’s recycled. More frightening still, up to 130,000 tonnes of plastic will find its way into waterways and into the ocean. Once in the ocean, it endangers marine wildlife.
The truth is, plastic is everywhere, and it doesn’t disappear.
Joolz has always been about design for the next generation. Selecting sustainable fabrics made with used plastic bottles is quite simply a common-sense statement. And by doing so Joolz is creating a more positive impact on the environment; sustainably strolling together means moving with confidence and awareness one step at a time towards a brighter future.
By sorting, cleaning, and spinning recycled plastic into a yarn, the end material is up-cycled into new fabrics, products, and innovative textile solutions. Every kilo of recycled material used as sustainable fabric in our prams keeps 60 water bottles away from the ocean.
